The Smutje consists of the shelf itself and the corresponding bracket. It fits the VW California models.
The shelf can be easily removed from its holder, even with the roof closed. This allows you to take the Smutje outside for grilling. Inside, elastic cords prevent anything from shifting, and a felt lining eliminates annoying rattling while driving. A roll of kitchen paper can be hung below the shelf. The elastic band keeps it pressed against the bottom of the shelf, preventing it from unrolling. The aluminum body is covered with durable Oxford fabric. The Smutje closes with magnetic fasteners, ensuring nothing can fall out.
The shelf bracket is extremely discreet and has no sharp metal edges; all corners are rounded. EPDM buffers protect the van from scratches and ensure that the shelf cannot slip, even when the roof is open.
