The Smutje consists of the actual shelf and the associated holder. It fits the VW California models.
The shelf can be easily removed from the holder, even when the roof is closed. So you can take the Smutje outdoors for a barbecue. Inside, rubber ropes ensure that nothing slips and a felt floor prevents annoying rattling while driving. A kitchen roll can be hung below the shelf. The elastic band ensures that it is always pressed against the bottom of the shelf so that it cannot roll unhindered. The aluminum body is covered with a durable Oxford fabric. The Smutje is closed with magnetic fasteners so that nothing can fall out.
The shelf holder is extremely understated and has no sharp metal edges, all corners have been rounded. EPDM buffers protect the VAN from scratches and ensure that the shelf cannot slip even when the roof is open.
