Four different sizes
Are you traveling alone, with two people, or maybe even four? The horntools Desert roof tent is available in four different sizes: 120 cm, 140 cm, 165 cm, or even 220 cm. The choice is yours.
The Desert roof tent comes with a lot of features: an 8 cm high cold foam mattress, all the mounting hardware for attaching it to your roof rack (works for all common models).
Robust material
The Desert roof tent is made of 280g canvas. The combination of 65% polyester and 35% cotton ensures breathability and a comfortable climate inside the tent. Thanks to the robust 210D polyester flysheet with a 5000mm hydrostatic head and super-insulated seams, you're effectively protected from the rain. Another advantage in bad weather is the dry entry from below.
Optional awning
For our Desert roof tent, we also offer matching awnings to expand your living area.
The awning is attached to the roof tent with sturdy YKK zippers. The inner floor of the spacious awning is waterproof and can be removed when not in use. The walls protect you from icy drizzle and wind on cold days (the breathable fabric of the awning is not completely waterproof, unlike the roof tent) and from the blazing sun in summer. What's perfect is that you can open the windows when needed, but they are then additionally protected by mosquito nets.
220cm roof tent suitable for families with 4 people
The Desert roof tent, with its 220 cm width, is particularly suitable for four people and therefore families. This version comes with two separate ladders and a partition. The car roof tent is thus divided into two separate rooms, offering ideal accommodation for four people. The partition is attached with a hook-and-loop fastener and can be removed if necessary. The sleeping area is always approximately 235 cm long.
Suitable for all vehicle models
Our roof tents are suitable for all vehicle models. All you need is a roof rack (we'd be happy if you bought one from horntools, but if you already have another roof rack, you're welcome to use that one too). The roof tent is then attached to the roof rack. Everything you need is included with the roof tent. Whether it's a T5, T6, Jimny, Ford Ranger, pickup, VW Bus, station wagon, or Golf – the Desert fits on any car. Please note the roof load capacity of your vehicle. You can find this in the owner's manual or online. The roof load must be high enough to support the roof tent.
